This Fair-Trade Nester is handmade, by Artisan workers in southern Bangladesh, to the highest quality finish using hogla grass and recycled saris. Each nester has a sturdy inner frame for support and attached at the back are strong metal hook. Additionally, it has a long loop at the top to ensure it can be fastened securely. The nester has a small round entrance, reinforced with steel, that is slightly protruding to make it easy for birds to land and perch on.
The ‘Shesali’ is the medium-sized ‘Oval’ model of the Artisan Wild Bird Nester range. Oval in shape provides a medium-sized cavity for species of small garden birds who roost alone or in a pair. This offers a cosy place to roost during harsh winter months or a nest during springtime.
COLOURS WILL VARY – Each Artisan chooses the colourful recycled sari pattern making every nest different.
