Terms of Trade

The following terms of trade apply to the use of Soar Mill Seeds website. By registering an account on this Site and/or placing an order you thereby agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below.


As part of Soar Mill Seeds policy of continuous product development, all specifications and prices may be subject to change. Weights and dimensions are approximate, errors and omissions excepted.


Please note postage and packing charges are applied after any discounts.


While every effort is made to ensure that all items shown are in stock we offer no guarantee of availability. Our office will contact you if any goods ordered are not immediately available.

All prices are inclusive of VAT at the current level, where appropriate.


RETURNS/GUARANTEE

You may return to us any of your order within 14 days, we will either replace it or refund your money in full (excludes P&P), whichever you prefer. Please return the goods with a full explanation of your dissatisfaction. Our aim is to provide quality products. Your comments will help us to achieve this. Your statutory rights are not effected.

 

RRC (Regular Reorder Customers) Terms and Conditions:

  • To receive the discount on orders the RRC form must be completed correctly and signed by the card-holder.
  • By signing this form you give Soar Mill Seeds permission to take payments from your specified credit card.
  • Postage and packing charges apply to these orders.
  • All orders will be despatched within the first ten days of the month.
  • Any changes to orders must be made at least five working days before the first day of the month of delivery.
  • By filling in and signing the form you the Customer are entering into a contract with Soar Mill Seeds. If you decide to break the contract before it's fulfilment Soar Mill Seeds reserve the right to charge administration costs of £10 against the card details we hold.


DISCOUNTS

All of our customers are entitled to a discount from seed, bird seed mixes, peanuts and dried fruit, except for the 1.25kg trial packs, on their 4th order from us in a rolling 12 month period. This 5% discount will be removed or reinstated depending upon the frequency of bird seed orders.


DELIVERY

We can deliver to most areas of the UK, however the highlands and Islands are not always available. Some postcodes may incur an additional charge which we can ask our delivery courier for.

Please ask for more information regarding the following postcodes:  AB31-38, AB40-56, KA (except KA27 &28), IV1-28, IV30-32, IV36-49, IV51-56, IV63, KW1-17, PA20-38, PA41-49, PA60-78, PH4-44, PH49-50, ZE, and ALL Islands (including the Channel Islands)

Our postage charges AFTER DISCOUNTS are £5.00 for each order under £10 in value, £3.95 up to £45 in value, over £45 is free.

To check the status of an order, click on the Order History link (you must be logged in). Here you will be able to search for all your orders placed on the website, orders placed by phone or mail will not be shown here. Please ring us on 01772 456317 to get this information. Click on the order number whose status you want to check, the order details are displayed.

 

CANCELLING OR RETURNING AN ORDER

We want you to be happy each time you shop with us. Occasionally though, we know you may want to return items however we will not be able to refund the postage costs.

  

For All Items

If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase you should call us within 7 days to arrange its return; we will replace the item or issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item excluding delivery.

  

If the items were Sent in Error or Defective

You can return items if they are defective or have been sent to you because of an error on our part . If you are returning an item because of an error or because it is defective, we will be happy to refund any delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you and your costs in returning it to us.

Please note: we only accept returns of items that have been opened if they are defective. Please see below for details of how to return defective items to us.

 

If you want to return an item

If you wish to return an item, please inform us by calling 01772 456317. Wrap the package securely, enclosing a note giving your contact details and the reason for the return. In the case of a defective product, please also provide a full description of the fault.


For your protection we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service.  This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.

 

If you are cancelling an item

Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item within 7 working days, beginning the day after the delivery date. If you decide to cancel, please inform us by calling 01772 456317 and then return the goods to us please try to return goods in their original packaging and condition. Under the Distance Selling Regulations you are under a duty of care to look after the goods until they reach our premises


This applies to all our products. However, we regret that we cannot accept cancellations of contracts for "Bird Foods" if these have been used in any way.

To cancel your contract, return the item to us with the invoice and a note confirming that you wish to cancel, and stating your contact details and customer number.

Please note: you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty.

If we arrange for the items to be collected we will deduct the cost of doing so from the amount refunded. As soon as we receive notice of your cancellation of this order, we will refund the purchase price for that item within 10 days.
