Versatile Squirrel Baffle- A wonderful product, provides a great deal of amusement from watching frustrated squirrels. The tipping action prevents squirrels reaching the bird feeders. Will fit any pole from 16mm to 25mm or can be hung above a hanging feeder for multi-location use. Site at least 8' (2m) away from a wall or tree to stop squirrels jumping above it. Made of tough green plastic. Baffle size: 51.5cm diameter x 6 cm deep. Made in Britain.

    The Versatile Squirrel Baffle really DOES stop squirrels climbing up poles to the feeders, whilst allowing birds of all sizes to get to the feeders freely. I had this baffle previously, but the "central disc" which is held onto the main baffle by 4 small plastic clips broke in high winds (the baffle really flaps about in windy weather). I have just bought this product again, and the central disc now comes ready-fitted to the baffle (Am going to use super-glue to keep it connected to the baffle.)
    I have re-used the old "pole attachment" part a couple of inches above the baffle to stop the baffle flapping too much in windy weather.
    In short, I'd rather use this on a pole as a squirrel baffle, than a caged feeder.

New hungry mouths.

It's at this time of year that our newly fledged birds can do with a bit of a boost

Live meal worms are pretty much guaranteed to get birds into your garden (even your hand) especially Robins and Blackbirds. And it's satisfying to know that by continuing to feed your birds you are helping them survive what is becoming a topsy turvy year, weather wise.
