One Single Roosting Pouch- This novel and fun roost pouch can give all kinds of animals a safe home in your garden. Can provide safe, cosy places for small birds to shelter from the weather and predators. Wrens are the main bird to use them - up to 12 wrens have been recorded in one roost pocket. Blue tits and Great tits also like them. Spread a few around the garden to encourage all sorts of beneficial bugs, birds and others to take up residence. Putting some crumpled up newspaper in one will help encourage insects like Ladybirds. 19cm long and 11cm wide. Made of natural material. Siting advice Roosting pockets are best in a sheltered place, preferably facing south or east, out of prevailing wind that could drive rain into them. They should be fixed to a firm surface like a post or a tree trunk, not swinging free in the wind.

We bought several Roosting Pouches which we hung in our ivy. This year they have been used by the young birds as 'Wendy Houses'! They continually take turns to pop in and out of them and sometimes queue up on nearby branches!

New hungry mouths.

It's at this time of year that our newly fledged birds can do with a bit of a boost
