MOUSEHILL BRAKE approx 24.28 Hectares 60 acres.
Mousehill Brake is a collection of fields with large areas of rock, scrub and gorse. Some areas are very steep while others are quite flat, typical of a "spur" with valleys on each side. Brake is a word used to describe an area of scrub but I am not sure how mousehill came about again this might be another obvious reason.
On it's lower edge is the remains of a bronze age settlement, looking out through the cove towards the sea, they probably didn't have the time to admire the view!
Looking along the top of the spur, out to sea.
