HOTEL FIELD 2.89 Hectares 7 acres.

Obviously named after the fact that it overlooks the Soar Mill Cove Hotel. This is my smallest arable field and the most diverse, with grass, scrub and the closest thing to woodland that you can get at windy Southdown. It is more sheltered than any other field and this is the main reason for the large winter flocks of birds that use it then. Hotel is the other field in the spring barley rotation for winter stubble under stewardship (along with Waypark). Over 30 Cirl's, 80 Yellowhammer, 20 Reed bunting and many others can be seen feeding here in the winter.
