Some records have a field name where the bird was seen, click on the 'farm map' to get your bearings. 2008 Jan c80 Chaffinch using spilt seed from dryer. 8-2 3 snipe, 1 woodcock in Perratons Park. Barn owl hunting by our office. 8-2 Barn owl hunting every night. 24-2 Chiffchaff in willows with 2 long-tailed tits. 1 Golden plover on Decca field. 18-3 White wagtail and f Wheatear in Soar Mill field. 9-4 2 swallows 15-4 Swallows, wheatear, 3 sand martin and willow warbler. 16-4 First record of a spring male ring ouzel, possible grasshopper warbler. 21-4 Whitethroat singing. House martins arrived 25-4 Whimbrel calling over farm 28-4 3 Sedge warblers singing in reeds. 7-5 Short-toed lark in Ranks field 8-5 4 Dotterel in Ranks field 10-5 Turtle dove in Soar Mill 11-5 Redstart in willows in Soar Cove 12-7 Curlew heard calling Aug House martin colony failed first time in over 18 years 16-8 Ringed plover calling, gannets moving off shore. 20-8 2 Wheatear in Heath field 23-8 c 15 Wheatear in Heath field. 26-8 Swallows leaving farm. Barn owl near Hamstone cottage. 30-8 3 Whinchat in Decca field 31-8 Wheatears on the farm in large numbers all ready to migrate. 8-9 Yellow wagtail in farm yard 21-9 Wryneck found in Perratons Park. Picture 23-9 Hobby flew over heath field. 29-9 Quail in soar mill field. 4-10 10 Goldcrests in garden, ringed plover in ranks, wheatear in decca. 16-10 Yellow-browed warbler found at East Soar willows. NMR 16-10 1 Swallow and a redstart. 17-10 c20 House martins with a few swallows stopping to feed. 26-10 fBrambling with c80 chaffinch 28-10 Redwing & fieldfare on farm. Merlin in Decca 1-11 Lapwing in path field 22-11 Swallow seen flying from the Warren at East Soar, 2 others at South Milton one was caught, ringed and weighed being at full body weight. 27-11 Merlin in Perratons, c120 chaffinch with up to 2 brambling.
