The Versatile Squirrel Baffle really DOES stop squirrels climbing up poles to the feeders, whilst allowing birds of all sizes to get to the feeders freely. I had this baffle previously, but the "central disc" which is held onto the main baffle by 4 small plastic clips broke in high winds (the baffle really flaps about in windy weather). I have just bought this product again, and the central disc now comes ready-fitted to the baffle (Am going to use super-glue to keep it connected to the baffle.) I have re-used the old "pole attachment" part a couple of inches above the baffle to stop the baffle flapping too much in windy weather. In short, I'd rather use this on a pole as a squirrel baffle, than a caged feeder.

Further to my review above, despite using super-glue to keep the central disc connected to the baffle, it has broken free again in a high wind. It still stops squirrels climbing the pole, but the manufacturers might consider if there's an even better, stronger way of keeping the central disc and baffle properly connected.
